Merrimack MBB at Siena — Road Win Coverage
Project Overview
This project showcases my on-site coverage of Merrimack men’s basketball during a conference road matchup against Siena. The assignment focused on documenting Merrimack’s ability to maintain composure and execution late in the game, as Siena mounted a second-half surge in front of a home crowd.
The coverage combined real-time observation, in-game photography, and postgame analysis to produce a complete digital recap highlighting momentum shifts, defensive discipline, and coaching adjustments.

The Assignment
The goal was to produce timely and engaging digital content that captured both the competitive atmosphere of a road game and the tactical elements that allowed Merrimack to secure the win. Emphasis was placed on contextual storytelling—showing not just what happened, but why the outcome mattered within conference play.
Creative & Editorial Approach
This piece was structured to mirror the rhythm of the game itself. Early segments focused on Merrimack’s defensive intensity and control of tempo, while the latter portion highlighted Siena’s late push and Merrimack’s ability to respond under pressure.
Photography was used to emphasize physicality, bench engagement, and key late-game moments, reinforcing the narrative of resilience and focus.
